The Journal of Korean Academic Society of Nursing Education (JKASNE) is an official Journal of the Korean Academic Society of Nursing Education founded of the Republic of Korea (South Korea) and the official abbreviated title is J Korean Acad Soc Nurs Educ. The JKASNE, firstly published in June 1995, is Korea’s first and foremost journal in the field of nursing education. Since it was selected as a journal registered with the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) in 2009, the JKASNE has maintained its qualifications as an NRF-registered journal for more than a decade by continuously controlling its quality and maintaining the specialization, identity and uniqueness of nursing education. The JKASNE was selected as an excellent NRF-registered journal in 2019.

This journal is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open access journal and publishes quarterly original research articles (February, May, August, and November). Publication of the journal is supported by a Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies (KOFST) grant funded by the government of the Republic of Korea.

The full text of the journals could be viewed free of charge, and the URL site is http://www.jkasne.org. Through this website, full text of every article is available. All of articles in this journal are indexed in SCOPUS, Korea Citation Index (KCI), KoreaMed, DOI/CrossRef, Google Scholar, DBpia, and RISS. By publicly opening its research data to researchers in nursing education as well as other academic fields, the JKASNE has increased accessibility to academic materials and contributed to the proliferation of research results.

In addition, to act preemptively to the rapidly changing healthcare and educational environment, the JKASNE has identified and shared various new topics related to nursing education, including curricula, educational methodology and pedagogy, teaching-learning methods, simulation education, and mobile learning.
